Who We Are

Innovation Hub Studio Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal data collected through the RadioLive application and website.

This Privacy Policy applies to the RadioLive mobile application (Google Play and Apple App Store) and the web player at radioliveapp.co.uk.

What Data We Collect and Why

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the service. The categories and their legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Device identifiers and usage data — to diagnose crashes and improve the App. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
  • Advertising identifiers (GAID / IDFA) — used by Google AdMob on the free mobile tier with your consent. Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). Withdraw anytime via device settings.
  • Purchase transaction records — confirmation only; full payment data handled exclusively by Google Play or Apple. Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
  • Network information — used only to optimise stream quality; not stored beyond the session. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

The web player collects no personal data whatsoever — no cookies, no analytics, no tracking.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other directly identifying information through the App itself.

Google AdMob and Advertising

The free tier of the RadioLive mobile app is supported by advertising via Google AdMob. On first launch, the App presents a consent dialogue per the IAB TCF framework. You may choose personalised or non-personalised ads, or withdraw consent anytime in App settings.

To opt out on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads. On iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

In-App Purchases

  • Free — supported by advertising; no charge.
  • Monthly (£0.49/month) — removes ads; billed via Google Play or App Store.
  • Lifetime (£4.99 one-time) — removes ads permanently.

All payment processing is handled by Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase records are retained for 6 years per UK HMRC requirements.

Third-Party Services

  • Google AdMob — advertising (free mobile tier only).
  • Google Play Billing / Apple StoreKit — payment processing.
  • Formspree — contact form submissions on the website.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention

  • Crash and diagnostic data — up to 90 days, then deleted.
  • Advertising identifiers — per Google AdMob retention policies.
  • Purchase records — 6 years (UK HMRC requirement).
  • Contact form messages — retained only until your enquiry is resolved.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside the UK (including the US) by Google LLC. Transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO or adequacy decisions.

Children's Privacy

RadioLive is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Contact us at contact@innovationhubstudio.co.uk if you believe this has occurred.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

  • Right of access — obtain a copy of personal data we hold.
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion where no longer necessary.
  • Right to restriction — restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing.
  • Right to complain — to the ICO at ico.org.uk / 0303 123 1113.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No internet transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security and accept no liability for breaches outside our reasonable control.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
